ভারতীয় রাজধানী দিল্লিতে সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে বক্তব্য দেওয়ার সুযোগ দেওয়ায় তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ। পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় বলেছে, এই পদক্ষেপ দুই দেশের কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে অস্বস্তিকর বার্তা দিচ্ছে।
ঢাকার মতে, বর্তমান রাজনৈতিক বাস্তবতা ও আঞ্চলিক সংবেদনশীলতার বিষয়টি বিবেচনায় না নিয়েই দিল্লি এই সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। এতে বাংলাদেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ রাজনৈতিক পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে বিভ্রান্তি সৃষ্টি হতে পারে বলেও আশঙ্কা প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।
পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের একজন ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তা জানান, “এ ধরনের বক্তব্যের অনুমতি দেওয়া বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ রাষ্ট্রের কাছ থেকে প্রত্যাশিত নয়।” তিনি আরও বলেন, বিষয়টি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ভারতের কাছে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।
বিশ্লেষকদের মতে, এই ঘটনা বাংলাদেশ–ভারত সম্পর্কে নতুন করে কূটনৈতিক চাপ তৈরি করতে পারে, বিশেষ করে এমন সময়ে যখন দ্বিপাক্ষিক সম্পর্ক ইতোমধ্যেই নানা চ্যালেঞ্জের মুখে।
Bangladesh has strongly criticized India for allowing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to deliver a speech in New Delhi, calling the move diplomatically insensitive and inappropriate under the current circumstances.
According to officials in Dhaka, the decision failed to consider Bangladesh’s present political context and regional sensitivities. The foreign ministry warned that such actions could create confusion regarding Bangladesh’s internal political affairs.
A senior official stated, “Granting a platform for such a speech is not expected from a friendly country.” He confirmed that the matter has been formally communicated to Indian authorities.
Political analysts believe the development could add fresh strain to Bangladesh–India relations, especially at a time when bilateral ties are navigating multiple strategic and political challenges.
