শেরপুর জেলা থেকে একটি ট্রাকে তল্লাশি চালিয়ে র্যাব ১,৩০১ বোতল বিদেশি মদ উদ্ধার করেছে এবং তিনজন মাদক বিক্রেতাকে আটক করেছে। অভিযানের সময় আটককৃতরা হলেন মো. মিনাল মিয়া (৩২), মো. রিয়াদ হোসেন (২৮) ও মো. নুরুল আমিন (৩৪)।
জামালপুর র্যাব-১৪ এর কোম্পানি কমান্ডার মেজর আসিফ আল-রাজেক জানিয়েছেন, শুক্রবার রাত সাড়ে ৮টার দিকে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে সদর উপজেলার নন্দীর বাজার এলাকা থেকে অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হয়।
র্যাবের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, উদ্ধারকৃত মদের আনুমানিক বাজারমূল্য প্রায় ৭০ লাখ টাকা। এই ধরনের অভিযান চলমান রাখা হবে যাতে দেশের বাজারে অবৈধ মদ ও মাদক বিক্রয় রোধ করা যায়।
Sherepur Truck Raid: 3 Drug Dealers Arrested with Foreign Liquor
RAB conducted a raid in Sherepur, seizing 1,301 bottles of imported liquor and arresting three drug dealers. Estimated market value of the seized liquor is around 7 million BDT.
Sherepur authorities, with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), conducted a raid on a truck and recovered 1,301 bottles of imported liquor, arresting three drug dealers in the process. The arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Minal Mia (32), Md. Riyad Hossain (28), and Md. Nurul Amin (34).
According to Major Asif Al-Razek, Company Commander of RAB-14 Jamalpur, the operation took place on Friday at 8:30 PM based on a secret tip-off in the Nandir Bazar area of Sherepur Sadar.
The recovered liquor has an estimated market value of approximately 7 million BDT. RAB emphasized that such operations will continue to curb illegal liquor and drug sales across the country.
