আসন্ন জাতীয় নির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে গাজীপুর জেলার পাঁচটি সংসদীয় আসনে রাজনৈতিক হিসাব–নিকাশে নতুন মাত্রা যোগ হয়েছে। মাঠপর্যায়ের পরিস্থিতি বিশ্লেষণে দেখা যাচ্ছে, গাজীপুরের তিনটি আসনে তুলনামূলকভাবে স্বস্তিতে রয়েছে বিএনপি, তবে বাকি দুটি আসনে কঠিন প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতার আভাস মিলছে।
স্থানীয় নেতাকর্মীদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে জানা গেছে, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সাংগঠনিক কার্যক্রম চালানো, আন্দোলন–সংগ্রামে সক্রিয় থাকা এবং জনসম্পৃক্ততা বৃদ্ধির ফলে গাজীপুর–১, গাজীপুর–৩ ও গাজীপুর–৫ আসনে বিএনপি শক্ত অবস্থানে রয়েছে। এসব এলাকায় দলীয় প্রার্থীদের প্রতি সাধারণ ভোটারদের আগ্রহ তুলনামূলক বেশি।
অন্যদিকে গাজীপুর–২ ও গাজীপুর–৪ আসনে রাজনৈতিক চিত্র ভিন্ন। এখানে ক্ষমতাসীন দলের সাংগঠনিক তৎপরতা, উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ড এবং সম্ভাব্য স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থীদের উপস্থিতি নির্বাচনী সমীকরণকে জটিল করে তুলেছে। ফলে এসব আসনে বিএনপিকে বাড়তি কৌশল ও শক্ত প্রচারণায় যেতে হতে পারে বলে মনে করছেন রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকরা।
বিএনপির কেন্দ্রীয় নেতারা বলছেন, নির্বাচন সুষ্ঠু ও নিরপেক্ষ হলে গাজীপুরে দল ভালো ফল করবে। পাশাপাশি ভোটের মাঠে শেষ মুহূর্ত পর্যন্ত জনসংযোগ জোরদার করার পরিকল্পনার কথাও জানান তারা।
রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকদের মতে, গাজীপুর শিল্পাঞ্চল হওয়ায় এখানে শ্রমিক ভোট, নগর ভোটার এবং গ্রামীণ এলাকার ভোট একসঙ্গে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে। এই সমীকরণ কীভাবে কাজে লাগানো যায়, তার ওপরই নির্ভর করবে আসন্ন নির্বাচনে গাজীপুরের চূড়ান্ত ফলাফল।
BNP Feels Confident in Three Gazipur Seats, Faces Tough Contest in Two
As the upcoming national election approaches, political dynamics in Gazipur district’s five parliamentary constituencies are becoming increasingly clear. Field-level assessments suggest that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is relatively confident in three seats, while two constituencies are expected to witness intense competition.
Local party sources indicate that sustained organizational activities, strong grassroots engagement, and active participation in political movements have placed BNP in a favorable position in Gazipur-1, Gazipur-3, and Gazipur-5. Voter enthusiasm for BNP candidates appears comparatively higher in these areas.
However, the scenario is different in Gazipur-2 and Gazipur-4. Strong organizational efforts by the ruling party, ongoing development initiatives, and the presence of potential independent candidates have made these constituencies highly competitive. Political analysts believe BNP will need strategic campaigning and increased voter outreach to secure victory in these seats.
Senior BNP leaders remain optimistic, stating that a free and fair election would yield positive results for the party in Gazipur. They also emphasize strengthening grassroots campaigns until the final stages of the election.
Analysts note that Gazipur’s status as a major industrial hub makes labor votes, urban voters, and rural communities equally influential. How effectively these voter blocs are mobilized will play a decisive role in determining the final outcome in the district.
